"Santa Cruz´s premier electronica gurus who also
happen to be brothers ... No matter what, the Etch Brothers
always seem to pack the joint with their jumping jumble of
house, trance and soul laid on a base of dance hall reggae.
The show coincides with the O´Neill Cold Water Classic.
The Catalyst morphs into one humongous dance party and the
hanging plants are going to be shaken by their roots, not
to mention all the misbehaving hips."+ –Bertrund

"New Year's Eve Super Shizzle
What is a shizzle? My best guess is that it's a cross between
a shimmy and a sizzle. Or a shindig and puzzle. Or a shingle
and a nozzle. Whatever it is, two electronica groups--the
Etch Brothers and Selecta 7--are going to make sure that it's
deeper and louder than it's ever been before. In addition
to the Catalyst's own booming sound system, they're bringing
in four 18-inch subwoofers to get your shizzle shaking, along
with singers, rappers, four laptops, two turntables and all
kinds of effects machines. Special guest DJs will also be
spinning the atrium."

"The Etch Brothers are a hit. Omar and Aaron Etch's
D.J. act
debuted in front of 200 people at the Santa Cruz Brewing Company
recently, and the local boys didn't disappoint. The dynamic
duo has a
new CD coming out called 'Tonight's Mix', and you can get
in on the
action at www.musichitlist.com."

"What do you get when a professional
surfer and his brother team up to play
electronica? A packed house. Brothers
Omar and Aaron, relative newcomers,
have quickly become local favorites, and
sold-out shows prove it."
